BACK TRACK ADVENTURES
We proudly share with you comments some of our Clients have made about us, our team and our services:
"I do want to extend to you and all the staff at Back Track both in Brisbane and Kathmandu the sincere thanks and appreciation of all those who participated in the St Margaret's Centenary Trek. Your organisation of all details from lists of equipment, to successfully managing the chaos of international Airports was meticulous and gave us all so much reassurance. Thank you for making possible our trip of a lifetime."

SHAGGY RIDGE (learn more about our Shaggy Ridge experience)
This is just a quick "Thank you" to you & Backtrack for initiating the Shaggy Ridge Trek. It had everything [and more] that I anticipated: eminently historical, picturesque, educative, relentless, physically & mentally challenging.
It seems to me that there are two major goals of a trek like Shaggy [ and Kokoda]: [1] Appreciation of our nation's history and of the experiences of my father's generation and [2] Learning about ourselves and how we adapt to challenging and adverse situations. Shaggy and Backtrack provided those contexts for me in the company of great comrades. So once again, "Thank you".
"Goodbye, Shaggy, you old bastard."
Neil, Inaugural Shaggy Ridge trek, August 2008
KOKODA TRACK (learn more about the Kokoda Track Treks)
What an adventure!! Sorry I did not get to talk much at the airport, I was keen to get home as you could imagine. Gareth ( our trek leader) was great, I guess you could say we did have a time of our life! Attached is a photo for you
Cheers L. G. Deputy Principal - Blackwater State High School
Your trek leader has exceptional people skills and is very entertaining. His sense of humour is fantastic and makes the trip more enjoyable. His explanations of the history is better than any book I have read. Not only did I enjoy the trek, I learnt so much and would recommend Back Track and your guide anytime. Well done !
Matt - Blackwater S.H.S Cadet Group, July 08
Back Track's pre trip seminars and information were all good as presented by Jim and certainlyhe and other Back Track staff were very accessible and helpful if I had any questions or needed any information via the phone. Jo, our trek leader is a winner...... and most importantly she can 'walk the talk". A most rewarding and satisfying experience.

A trip of a lifetime says it all, the trek, the country, were all more that I could have ever imagined. Our trek leader Gareth was an amazing guide, his knowledge of Kokoda, was like watching the History Channel, his ability to keep it and us all together under some trying circumstances was fantastic, and that sense of humour of his kept us all in stitches. Thank you Backtrack Adventures for all you have done, I will be recommending your services to all.
Cheers, Buff, Team 6 July 08
Coming from the country and knowing noone, I was made to feel welcome and part of the Team immediately. The pre trip emails and correspondence were excellent. Living in the country I was not able to access other people who had done the trek so having my questions answered promptly was very much appreciated. Thank you.
Also not being a frequent traveller, the information sent to me before departure was excellent. Having seen how other groups were walking the Track and the equipment they were using, I am grateful that I chose Back Track.
M.W - Team 5, June 08
Just a short "thank you" for the well organised Kokoda adventure. I appreciated all the info that you shared with us and your attention to all the details to make the trip work so well.
Thanks again The Cultural Ambassador Colin

I have just finished walking Kokoda with Megan and the rest of Team 3 and as you probably know we all went very well.
I write to thank you for your help since I first dreamt of doing this walk in 2003 which seems so long ago now. I have had a few obstacles before I could even get to Port Moresby but I never doubted that I would, one day, complete the track.
I had a fantastic time and while it was not easy it went as smoothly as I could ever have hoped for. I have no doubt your training programme was a major factor in my success.
Till next time, maybe in Nepal or maybe in South America.

Just a short note to thank you for the thoroughly enjoyable trip we've just completed. At times it was a physical or mental challenge (read day 2) but it's always a buzz to achieve the goal. We were lucky with the great group of people we shared the experience with and I was especially thrilled to be able to complete the trek with Todd (son).
I would have no hesitation in using your organisation again or recommending it to somebody else.
Once again, thank you for your leadership and good humour
Regards

Thanks Back Track for an amazing experience walking the "TRACK" Your leader deserves special praise, he was great. He gave us a clear insight into the lives of the men who fought and died along that jungle path. I will never forget the experience. Thanks also to the staff in Brisbane office who helped me get organised and were never too busy to discuss any matter to assist me. I enjoyed the Mt Coot-tha walk when I was in Brisbane as well. Thanks Back Track, I will be travelling with you again.

Recently I had the privilege of walking the Kokoda Track under the guidance of Back Track Adventures. To say I am delighted to have done this is an understatement. To have done it with Back Track made it all more enjoyable.
Our Team Leader was Megan and she was an absolute delight. Accessible, friendly, diplomatic...................I have no hesitation in recommending Back Track to my friends.

"Thanks for a great trek, absolutely fascinating, very informative, and challenging and a great eye opener. Your leadership was excellent, the trekking group was great.
I will keep in touch."

"We were treated to the best that Nepal had to offer without the feeling of distance from the locals, that comes from the run-of-the-mill package tours."

Just a quick note to say loved the trip. Struggled with the altitude from Namche and probably the odd day of not drinking enough. Everyone I have spoken to is so impressed that everyone in our group who wanted to get to base camp made it, as we heard that on other companies, a fair number struggling with the altitude don't get there.
Heather was great with managing each of us and our trekking family. If it wasn't for her I don't know whether I would have made it and enjoyed my time away. Do feel a real sense of achievement. Your other staff in Nepal also all worked well together and made life on the trail easier.
Have passed your details onto those who ask along with a high recommendation

BOOTS IN BORNEO
I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the experience of Boots in Borneo. The scope of the trip was extensive from luxury, through physical extremes, emotional remembrance, closeness to nature and exhilaration. All this was made possible by the excellent attention to detail in the arrangements for our accommodation, transport and meals. I certainly was privileged to be part of this first time adventure.

My advice, if you are contemplating such a trip, is to go. Let Back Track Adventures take you there and you will be in the care of a safe, competent and experienced company. I would do it again."

Ian..(our Trek Leader)... where do I start... Ian was fantastic! The coordinator, the smoother, diplomat, endlessly cheerful and patient. A mine of information. I would travel to the ends of the earth with this guy ?

"Thank you for all the care and consideration you showed me while we were travelling. I can't tell you what a difference it made to me, it really was the most marvelous holiday. Thank you once again for the experience of a lifetime."

" I would just like to thank you for our recent trip to Africa and particularly to climb Mt Kili. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip especially the climbs of Mt Meru and Kili and also the safari afterwards. Sorry because I was so slow if I caused any problems with the group. If I had of went faster I probably would not have made the summits of both mountains'. Once again many thanks for organising this great trip and being our 'great white leader' - I would not have missed it for anything. Some of my photos are quite good and I look forward to our get together night whenever."

MOROCCO (Learn more about our Morocco holiday)
"A very belated thank you for a most memorable trip. Like many of the group in Morocco, we too are very experienced travellers & therefore know when a quality experience has been provided. Morocco was one of those rare experiences and it was for the following reasons:-small, but not too small a group,a varied itinerary from cities to towns, coast to deser tto mountains, opportunity to interact with the locals, be it eating, dancing,or squaring off with Moroccan spitting street vendors; clean, safe & central hotels; time to explore by yourself if so desired; and spendinga few/couple nightsin the occassional hotel enroute. In addition to this, I really enjoyed the visit to Hamman & the camel trekinto the desert. All of this was enhanced by Balard's driving skills, Yacine's forte as a local guide and the daily reading according to the Phrophet RAY !.
Thanks for a wonderful experience & we look forward to seeing you at the group reunion on Saturday night.
Regards Brian & Rob ( Morocco 2007)
