Trip Overview

FEATURING: trek to 5,631m for close-up views of the world's highest mountain, visit Everest Base Camp, experience authentic Sherpa culture, visit famous buddhist monasteries.

If your ambition is to walk amongst the highest, most majestic mountains on earth and view Mt Everest up close then this is the trek for you. The Everest area of Nepal is famous due to the exploits of mountaineers such as Hillary, Tenzing, Bonnington, Messner and Macartney-Snape. The Sherpa people who inhabit Khumbu, as the area is called, are well-known for their cheerful hospitality. This trek visits their villages and monasteries and provides a wonderful opportunity for cultural interaction.

The pace of this trek is slow and easy to allow trekkers to acclimatise in the high altitude and to absorb the stunning scenery of the area. You won't be carrying a heavy pack either as our local crew carry your belongings. We stay in comfortable Sherpa lodges so there's no camping on this trek. An awe inspiring and unforgettable trek and rightfully regarded as one of the top 10 treks in the world.

Back Track is one of only a few companies worldwide that operates its own fulltime office in Kathmandu, ensuring our trekkers a professional, well organised and safe holiday in the best trekking destination in the world.
