Morocco 2011

Below is a overview of the Morocco holiday. For a more detailed itinerary, view the Itinerary Detail page, or download our trip brochure, or contact us to request a printed brochure to be posted to you.

Day 1

Fly Brisbane to Dubai and connect with flight to Casablanca.

Day 2

Arrive in Casablanca. Free airport/hotel transfer for those arriving on group flight. Our Hotel is located near the beach. 

Day 3

Drive to Meknes and visit Rabat enroute.

Day 4

Explore Meknes, Volubilis and nearby Moulay Idriss. Drive to Fes.

Day 5

Explore ancient Fes.

Day 6

Drive through the beautiful Middle Atlas to Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) on the fringe of the Sahara Desert.

Day 7

Visit nearby villages. Join a camel caravan into the desert to camp overnight.

Day 8

Drive south to spectacular Todra Gorge.

Day 9

Explore Todra Gorge.

Day 10

Follow the Route of 1000 Kasbahs (palaces). Overnite in world heritage listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.

Day 11

Cross the High Atlas Mountains to the village of Imlil. Commence 5 day, moderate grade, cultural and scenic trek. Overnight in mountain hut (Gite).

Day 12

Trek. Overnight in a Gite in the village of Ouaneskra. (walking time 3-4 hours)

Day  13

Trek. Overnight in a Gite in the village of Imsker. (walking time 4-5 hours)

Day 14

Trek. Overnight in a Gite in the village of Tizi Oussem. (walking time 6-7 hours)

Day 15

Finish trek. Overnight in a Gite in the village of Imlil. (walking time 4-5 hours)

Day 16

Drive to Marrakech (driving time 1-2 hours). 2 days to explore this exotic city.

Day 17

Explore Marrakech.

Day 18

Drive to Essaouira. Two days to explore this quaint town on the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 19

Explore Essaouira.

Day 20

Travel back to Casablanca via El Jadida.

Day 21

After breakfast provided, a free hotel/airport transfer for those departing on the group flight to Dubai and the connector back to Australia on Day 23. Welcome Home.
