Trip Overview | Itinerary Overview | Itinerary Detail
This tour is divided into separate modules to give you a choice of destinations or you can combine them into one 26 day adventure. The aim of the tour is to provide variety while experiencing the best of what each country has to offer. Egypt, Jordan and Syria are new destinations for Back Track Adventures so in that sense, this journey is exploratory.

Overview
Where we stay
Count the different types of accommodation! 3 & 4 star hotels, sleeper train, Nile cruise boat, 2 person tent, Bedouin tent (or under the stars if you prefer!)
The 3 night Western Desert Safari is basic camping style - two person tents for sleeping and if there’s a minimum of 8 in the group, meals will be in a mess tent with floor mats to sit on. We provide foam mats to sleep on but you’ll need your own sleeping bag. Toilets facilities will be a discreet spot in the desert.
Transport
Luxury coach, comfortable mini-bus, comfortable sleeper train, 4 star cruise boat, 4WD jeep and optional donkey, horse and camel
How Active is this Trip?
While no part of this trip is strenuous, you will spend a lot of time walking around various sites eg: We spend all of one day walking around the magical Lost City of Petra with some uphill sections. You will have free time on a regular basis sit and relax. Snorkeling or diving in the Gulf of Aqaba is optional as is the dip in the Dead Sea. In Wadi Rum there’s a six hour camel ride (If Lawrence of Arabia could do it, so can you) but it’s ok to hop off and walk if it gets uncomfortable.
Meals
Meals provided on the 26 night tour include 25 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 17 dinners. There will be a combination of Western and Middle Eastern cuisine served. We will also be dining in local restaurants giving us the opportunity to sample authentic local dishes.
